Your first Visit
Your first consultation with us will take 1 hour.
Patient Information
We will discuss your medical history and current complaints, work and leisure activities as part of a thorough case history.
Please bring a note of your current medications if you find it easier!
Detailed Examination
We may request you remove outer clothing so your area of pain can be examined. You are always welcome to bring a chaperone or sportswear to change into.
Immediate Symptom Relief
Administer treatment during the first visit, along with a personalized plan estimating the number of sessions needed for effective relief.
Versatile Treatment Techniques
Utilise various techniques such as soft-tissue massage, joint manipulation, stretching, rehabilitative exercise, ultrasound, taping and acupuncture, all tailored to your specific condition.
Root Cause Investigation
Continue treatment beyond symptom locations to identify and address the root cause of pain, preventing future recurrence.

Insurance Claims
Depending on your insurance policy, clients may be required to pay the clinic at the time of treatment and seek reimbursement directly from their insurer.
Please check with your insurer to determine the level of cover and any requirements they may have such as a referral letter from your doctor.
Payment is settled at the end of your session by cash, cheque or card payments.
Please give at least 24 hours notice for a cancellation or the full appointment fee will be payable.

Home Visits
If you are in too much pain to come an osteopathy clinic we can come to your home. We cover all of Saltash and most of the out-lying villages.
Osteopath Home Visits: Things to Consider
If you need prescription pain killers you will need to call out a doctor
If your pain is so severe that you cannot move at all, or cannot be touched, it may be better to call a doctor or an ambulance. If you are unsure, please call the clinic and we will be happy to advise you on your best course of action
To examine and treat you safely, you may need to be partially undressed. If you feel uncomfortable with this you are welcome to have a chaperone present and you can wear shorts and a vest top.
Not all osteopathic treatment modalities may be available, depending on the suitability of home environment.
