About Saltash Osteopathy
Catherine is a Registered Osteopath and holds an honours degree in Osteopathic Medicine. A member of the General Osteopathic Council and the British Osteopathic Association, she is originally from Saltash and has been practising as an Osteopath for over 20 years.
On graduating from the British School of Osteopathy in 2003, Catherine moved to work with one of the largest multidisciplinary practices in the UK. It was here, when working with the local Premiership football team that she developed an interest in sports injuries and their treatment.
In 2005, Catherine was fortunate enough to be offered a position working alongside the Osteopathic Consultant for the England Football team and Chelsea FC and moved to Bath to fulfil this commitment.
Also qualified in Dry Needling (Medical Acupuncture), she became recognised as an Osteopathic Consultant by BUPA, before returning to Saltash .
Whilst sports medicine is a particular interest, Catherine enjoys treating a variety of ailments in patients of all ages and abilities and in helping people move from symptom management to strategies that build resilience and well-being.
Her research interests at undergraduate level include the education of osteopaths in imaging modalities, and the rehabliliation of occupational-related strain at post-graduate level. As a Registered Osteopath, her research and professional development is continually assessed by the General Osteopathic Council to maintain high standards and ensure patient safety.
In association with the charity ‘Arthritis action’ we are the only recognised osteopaths in Cornwall to offer subsidised treatment for patients with arthritis.
